My fiance's interview was September 27, 2013. It was10/23/13 the last time there was an update, to which the status says READY, case is OPEN and October 23, 2013. The problem is that her medical expires 11/27/13. I have called and emailed the USCIS and USEM several times. All I get told is that her visa is still under processing.

Does anyone have any idea what may be going on? Even my lawyer hasn't been able to help me. Is there something he can accomplish that I can't?

PLEASE HELP

It's probably Administrative Processing, and if so there is nothing you or anyone else can do it about it besides wait.

Before they issue the visa they'll ask if they can travel by that date. but if they do not issue you your visa before that date, you'll have to submit another one then they'll issue you your visa.

another medical

I am afraid of that. There have been 3 medical exams already over the past year or so. The last and first one she passed. The second medical she failed the sputum and had to go to St. Lukes for 6 months of treatments. She had to take the second medical because her medical expired the first time because we were waiting for paperwork from a previous country she resided in. The last medical she passed following her visits to St. Lukes.

Her 2nd interview was September 26, 2013, everything went well. They didn't hand back her passport, nor hand her a 221(g) form.

I can't tell you how relieved we are that the status finally changed to issue. with her medical expiring this November 27th. The status AP was only for one day and then it went directly to issue. I sent many emails and made many phone calls to the embassy I like to think that's what helps push this through. let's not forget a lot of praying.its been a long two year process and it is finally coming to an end, but a whole new beginning for us.thank you everyone best wishes.I will be back soon.
