So VJ

My relationship touch bottom. I don't want to get into details right now.
I have a question,
We received our NOA2 on October 4 and we still haven't received our case number. How we can withdraw the petition at this point?
Thank you very much!

Truly sorry to hear that. To answer your question, I would call the NVC @ (603) 334-0700. They should have your case number and be able to give you guidance.

FYI, you never know, maybe it will get better! Best of luck!

We've been talking so let's see. I really don't have nothing to lose and i truly love him and he truly love me .... I have to admit that distance is making it more hard than ever ... Plus we still haven't receive our case number and is stressing ... Also about all the documents that we should gather and the fear of a denial ..... It is soooooo overwhelming :(

Thanks for the good wishes,

Good luck to you too.

D,

I understand that it is overwhelming BUT you have to stay positive! Distance sucks! That's a fact! Don't wait to receive your case number! Call the NVC!! They will give it to you. I called the NVC on 22 October, they received the package the same day and she gave me the case number... I just received the letter from the NVC yesterday (1 Nov). Don't think about "denial". Be confident!

If y'all want to be together, you will help each other maintain confidence! AND soon, everything will be good! :)

Thanks again smile.png good luck to you smile.png

You are more than welcome!! This is awesome!! Congrats. It goes pretty fast from this point on.The package should arrive within 3 to 5 business days at the embassy. Give them a week and send them an email (ask if they received the package and if they have a time frame for the interview). My fiancee emailed them and the next day, they replied with the whole package (the one they are supposed to send by mail) and the interview date.

As far as the letter from the NVC, I think it took over a week (after the package was sent to the embassy) to receive it. Don't sweat it!

Prepare everything on your side: Affidavit of Support, a copy of the whole I-129 package, etc... and send it all to your loved one. Make sure to schedule the medical ASAP as it appears it takes a good 4 weeks to get one (my fiancee called and she got an appointment within 2 weeks so it all depends I guess).

Our interview is scheduled on 4 December which is only 37 days after the package arrived at the embassy. No time to waste :)

I'm glad y'all kept faith! Keep it that way and in no time, y'all will be together!

Good luck! :)

Don't wait to receive the package. There's a possibility it may not arrive! Send an email to the embassy next friday and ask if the received the package and an estimation for the interview.

Here is what my fiancee sent:

Estoy enviando este correo electrónico que confirme que ha recibido la documentación para la siguiente aplicación K-1 VISA: LMAxxxxxxxx.

Además quisiera saber cual es el marco de tiempo para la entrevista?

And the next day, she received the following reply:

Estimada Srta. xxxxxx:

Gracias por comunicarse con nosotros.

Su cita está programada para el 4 de diciembre.

Por favor, vea los documentos adjuntos. En ellos encontrará su carta de cita y las instrucciones a seguir antes de la entrevista.

Atentamente,

U.S. Embassy, Lima-Peru

They usually respond within a day.

Hope this helps! :)

I meant don't wait until you receive the packet 4 that the embassy will send you! Just wait until the embassy has received the package from the NVC and then call to make your medical appointment. Sorry, if i confused you!

Hi! Hope it's okay I chime in.

I read on the embassy in lima's site to make sure that the subject of your email includes your case number. I think it helps them know how to reply better at first glance. Did you already send the email? If you didn't I can give you the link where it says the format.

It looks like Peru is working a month at a time. Right now they are filling up December with interviews. So you'll have a month to prepare. My fiance and I decided to push our date back to January, but he called the doctors anyway to see how busy they were. They were willing to give him a medical on November 18th! He declined because we'd rather have the results more current closer to our January date.

When you go for a medical they ask you bring the interview letter but I've heard that packet 4 that has it takes a while to arrive. if you email them like mentioned above, they will probably email you the interview letter in an electronic form. My fiance asked the doctor and they told him it was fine to bring in the printed email interview letter. That could help you with time so you don't have to wait for the packet. Still double check with the doctor when you call though.

Good luck and so glad you've decided to keep going! :)

Thank you so much. I decided to give it a try .. there is nothing i can lose at this point and there have been always a lot of love between us.

Thank you for your guidance!

I hope to have at least a month or so because my fiance bought a ticket for this november 29th. We never thought things were going to be so fast at this point. I hope the interview is on January. That will be better.

My case is already "In transit" since friday. I guess it will arrive to Lima this wednesday.

I feel so relieve knowing that i can print the letter instead of tacking the original after hearing that packet 4 actually will never arrive to my door.

I have some questions:

1- After knowing that my case is in Lima, how much time i should wait to send the email?

2- For the medical, besides the interview letter is there anything else i shoudl take?

3- I have seen a post that talks about the form DS-3025 form that they should give to you after the medical? What is that? here is the post http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/464710-ds-3025/#entry6640422

4- And the last question ... after the medical of what i know you have to wait a few days for them to give you the results right, so they will only give the envelope or they should give you something else? shoul i ask for a copy of my vaccines?

I'm so sorry i think i am overwhelming you.

1. Send as soon as you see your status change to Ready! Ask them that you would like to know the interview date before the package arrives in the mail to plan in a timely manner

2. The doctors will tell you what to bring. I forgot which doctor my fiance called, but they gave him a list of things to bring. I can message you exactly what they told him. I'll have to dig through out conversation

3. I saw that, to be honest I have to do some research myself. Don't know much about that, sorry. If I find anything I'll let you know!

4. I also don't know this since we're not there yet. But again I'll let you know what I find! Definitely see if they'll give you copies of anything. Always good to have doubles.

and no problem! smile.png glad to help wherever I can!

EDIT:

just found it here! woo hoo http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide

NOTE: Tip Regarding Vaccination Records

The K-1/2 beneficiary will be required by the embassy to have a "medical" done prior to the visa interview. Part of this interview will require that previous vaccinations are documented and potentially additional required vaccinations performed. Once this is complete the doctor will note this on a DS-3025 form that will be sent to the embassy. During the medical appointment request an official copy of the vaccination records from the physician (or a copy of the completed DS-3025 if they will give it to you) as this will be helpful to have on hand in the future (specifically it can be helpful when filing for Adjustment of Status if your DS-3025 form is not available).

I meant don't wait until you receive the packet 4 that the embassy will send you! Just wait until the embassy has received the package from the NVC and then call to make your medical appointment. Sorry, if i confused you!

Hutchinski i have a question.

When did your fiance sent that email to the embassy? the same day the status was READY? or she waited?

Thank you smile.png
