Hello all

I'm currently awaiting my wife's USCIS packet to arrive at NVC and will need to request an expedite due to a medical situation, but I'm wondering if anyone knows how long the results are valid for on the medical exams. I'm thinking of getting the medical exams out of the way ahead of time as they start processing things to ensure that I don't get caught behind the 8 ball regards to scheduling of the interview at the Embassy.

Thanks

Until your case is at NVC and you get your case# don't even think of a medical its way too soon. You bascially have 6 months from medical to enter the US. You case may not even get to NVC for weeks and it will be at least 2 to 3 months from arrival to case complete than you wait for interview. Just wait for case# than start your medical.

Are you sure you can get a medical without a interview assigned? Many countries you have to have interview letter.

DON"T BE OFFENDED? Yeah well, too late. I simply asked a question and this has nothing to do with a fiancee as you apparently can't read and noticed that I posted that this is an I-130 for my wife, both of which of us are currently in Colombia and the expedite involves an emergent medical condition that needs treatment in the US. You too would probably be trying to find a way to move things along if your wife's life was in jeopardy as well as that of your children.

I'm not going to get into symantics with you, but maybe you're the one that should get a pillow and sit on your thumb and ###### like everyone else on this site.

I believe it varies with each consulate so I can only share my husband's experiences. My husband is in England and was not able to have his medical appointment until he had received his interview date from the embassy.

The medical is normally valid for 6 months but may vary depending on the country.

It's usually valid for 6 months. Best to look at your ontended embassy/consulate's website for their list of affiliated medical facilities. Call them up and they should know long an exam result is valid for. Take that into account, okay? Hope it helps.

I would not do a medical appointment till you get your interview letter! In some country the Embassy will give you a list of authorize Doctors who are only allow to do immigration examination. Plus there is a checklist that must be fill out prior to the appointment.
