Your timeline shows visa interview September 2005, so what is the who story? Did the consulate deny the visa, and if so why did they deny? Are you appealing the consulate's decision?

From your post it sounded like VSC had never approved your case in the first place.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

There is some information missing from the above statement. And your timeline shows that you were approved in 2005 in 59 days. So give us something to work with. What happened to your VISA? How are you contacting them? What did they tell you? Did your case ever go to NVC? Did you make as far as the Foreign Consulate?

Have they requested anything from you (RFEs for additional evidence)? Are you having any contact from Vermont? Contacting a Congressman in this situation is a good idea. But you need to be in contact with the Embassy also, so they know what you are doing. You do not want them to close your case due to "non-response".

You need to contact the Vermont office by any means necessary. I understand the non responsiveness. But no one at vermont has a Visa on the line! So you have to be the aggressor here! Get on the telephone and stay on it until you get a human. Have your case#, your NVC# and explain your case clearly. Be sure to get their name and title. Do not get off the phone until you have a plan of action from Vermont. At a minimum, you should discover what is expected from whom and by when. Then you can relay that information to the Embassy.

Explain to Vermont that your case needs to be expedited because it has passed 60 days without a response. You should try to contact them with both email and registered mail. And always state your USCIS# and the NVC case#. The 221g that you received requires action. I understand your frustration. I'd feel the same way. Sorry this is happening to you.

I wish I had the answer to free you from Vermont. Contacting your Congressman is a good start. Let's hope he/she can get things moving. The good thing is you have not been denied, only severely delayed with the 221g. You've confirmed that Vermont is NOT waiting for something from you. This may just be a situation where all you can do is what you have been doing - stay in contact with them and continue to wait. Hopefully, another VJ'er will be able to shed more light on your situation.
