Hello everyone, I know it's too early yo panick but just for peace of mind and heart I would like to get everyone's suggestion please. As you all know my fiancé had his interview October 7, 2013 and did his medical exam on October 10, 2013 and drop it off on October 20th and our case was once updated on October 22 and once last night October 27 but this time it had a different message of AP. the reason I'm worried is cause the interviewer never told my fiancé abut placing in AP but in fact she sad drop off your passport and medical result so we could print you visa. And everyday whenever I checked the case status it just had this long AP message but today it was like

NONIMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION

Administrative Processing

Application ID or Case Number: KBL2013xxxxxx -01

Case Creation Date: 27-Oct-2013

Status Updated Date: 27-Oct-2013

Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. This processing can take several weeks. Please follow any instructions provided by the Consular Officer at the time of your interview. If further information is needed, you will be contacted. If your visa application is approved, it will be processed and mailed/available within two business days.

This is a bit confusing and worrying me and I can't just email US embassy cause I am afraid they might just get pissed and put his file away. Please any suggestion would be helpful for us. Thank you all

I'd say AP is pretty normal for Afghanistan.

Could take a while though.

November 14th, 2013: She's here!

December 12th, 2013: Picked up marriage license.

December 14th, 2013: Wedding

Laila, I understand ur worries and frustrations. My husband has been in AP for almost 9 months now and still nothing :-(

My advice for u is to wait at least 60 days before making any sort of inquiry (I read this somewhere in their website) and so that is what I followed. Over the months, I've called, emailed, had my lawyer email them, and had my congressman email them. I've just got the same response each and every time. My point is that no matter how many times u contact them, it will not speed up the process. Unfortunately, AP is not completed until they say it is. My friend, I will tell u one that I wish others before me in my shoes would have told me...grow some thick skin and be patient :-)

And y is ur fiancé applying for non-immigrant visa?

And y is ur fiancé applying for non-immigrant visa?

And why is ur fiancé applying for non-immigrant visa?
