Hi everyone, I have a question about proof of support. I am currently not employed, does this mean i will need a sponsor? What kind of form does the sponsor fill out? Do they just fill out the i-134 instead of me?

You as the petitioner have to fill i-134 regardless if you meet the poverty levels or not and if you don't then you will need to find a co-sponsor who will also need to fill i-134 and supporting evidence.

No I-134 is the one you need. I-864 is used for adjustment of status after you get married in us.

THANKS FOR ASKING! MY QUESTION IS, WHAT IF YOU ARE MARRIED? WHICH ONE DO YOU FILE? AND WHEN?

IM CURRENTLY IN CHILE, AND I AM READY TO FILE THE 1-29F, WHEN DO I SEND THE AFFIDAVIT OF SUPPORT?

OR SHOULD I WAIT FOR THEM TO LET ME KNOW?

DOES ANY ONE KNOW?

The other thing you'll want to find out is if your embassy will accept a co-sponsor. Some don't.

November 14th, 2013: She's here!

December 12th, 2013: Picked up marriage license.

December 14th, 2013: Wedding
