My point was , although many blacks speak much more correct English than I ever will, Marvin probably being one of them, the. slang, that was allegedly used here, that was supposed to be black slang was called offensive and racist. However it is widely used, popular and accepted by black culture . I don't see how that makes Danno a racist for pointing that out. Any more than it would make him a hater of southern people to point out our distinctive speech and colloquialisms.It's just fact, nothing more nothing less. .

There are at least 3 active black members in this forum. Myself, Janelle, and Gowon. Proper english is spoken all of the time. To think we speak in slang is racist because we've shown many times we don't speak like that. It's not black culture, it's some black people who choose to speak that way.

Often times what we see is, people are much more critical of one person than another, even though they have the same viewpoint... as in this case.

MArvin went on and on riding me for not seeing the clear profiling and racism, when I simply wanted to hear both sides rather than just one before taking a stand.

If you look closely, slang is a huge part of American culture. Just listen to people around you and you will find out countless misappropriated words being used by individuals of all strata.
