Hello everyone, finaly I decided to make an account here. I studied a lot this site since months ago when me and my fiancé decided to apply for K1. This is a very very good site, with a lots of useful informations.

I have a question, maybe for the old members here: Is it the ''Current processing times'' based on the Visajourney members data? Does that mean that is not so accurately because there can be other people who applied but are not registered on this site?.

Another thing that I want to say is that I saw in most cases that they got the NOA2 after 4-6 months since NOA1, lately 3 months, but according to ''Current processing times'' seems that California is right now less then 2 months ago. If they keep working with this rithm I expect to get my approval in less then 2 months, we got the NOA1 on 1th Oct. 2013. I hope we will not get any RFE.....

Wish you all : LUCK!!! and Thank you for your answers!

Best of luck to you.

Current processing times on VJ is just to get an idea, but really your NOA2 should come 5-6 months (unless you get an RFE). If they are processing faster then maybe you'll be in luck but I think 5 mo is a good general expectation.

Once you get the NOA2 then the next phase starts... At this point it's good to send fax to the Embassy to send packet with all necessary papers to prepare for the interview.

Beneficiary will need to go to get a cazier judiciar, and also schedule a medical. The Petitioner will need to get paperwork for an I-134 affidavit of support (bank letter, work letter, tax returns, w2s).

Important to get together a package of proof of relationship, phone bills, entry stamps in passport, skype logs, emails, cards/letters mailed, photos.

I;m sure everything will work out. Good luck!

The waiting is really hard,,, but hopefully you two can schedule trips to see each other in europe. Again best of luck to you and godspeed :)

Current processing times on VJ are just an estimate, however, our estimated approval date was suprisingly accurate for both our K1 visa and Ap/EAD approval. I can't believe it's been almost 2 years since we applied for our K1 visa. When we were going thru the process it seemed to take forever. Looking back on it now, I wish I would have used that time to prepare for my fiance's arrival. ( clean out closets, make space for his clothes, figure out where I would be able to buy ingredients for the foods he was used to eating, etc) Whatever you do - don't make plans that you can't change until you have the visa in hand.

Have your fiance read the bucharest embassy thread. I attended the interview with my fiance and the questions were pretty much as people had posted them.

Good luck on your Visa Journey!

Thank you for your answer and your wishes.

If you look at the timelines, there people wrote when they got NOA1 and NOA2. Even 3 people who got NOA1 on 01 Oct 2013, 02 Oct 2013, they got these days NOA2. So, according to VisaJourney, California is processing now the files who has NOA1 on 1st Sept 2013, according to the immigration timelines (only K1) , very many who applied on Sept 2013 they got the NOA2 in Oct 2013. How do you explain these?

Thank you for advices. Yes, we both did read the Bucharest embassy thread. I did read a lots of testimonials....to be prepared for everything...but still...there are things that you can't predict...Most cases are particular. Thank you for your wishes!

I just took a look to the Immigration timelines for people with K1 and already are 5 people who had NOA1 on 1st and 2nd Oct.2013 and got NOA2 at the end of Oct 2013, even today 30 Oct 2013 someone got it. So, what you think about this? Anyway....all I hope is not to get a RFE, and of course...to pass all fast rolleyes.gif

Seems that things changed this year for K1...: now the forms 156 and 156K were replaced by DS-160, also I didn't need the form 230.

Also I needed to send to the US Embassy at the Bucharest, through the e-mail, the instructions page dated and signed, the copy of my passport and the confirmation of DS-160. The next day I got the answer from them that I need to make some changes on the form DS-160, after that I could make the appointment for the interview and I had to register for a delivery place where to pick up my passport (I got some numbers for that).

Now I wait for the interview....whistling.gif
