You suggest crime flourishes when people loose their jobs or can't get a good paying job?

National crime statistics blow that tired theory apart as even though the country has been in a Bush-Obama economic crises, the crime rates dropped, not grew.

Sure things were cheaper in the 60's (including wages) and there was almost no Gov't safety net at all..... yet this was not an everyday event.

Why not just agree with me for once (pretty please).....

that we don't know what happened here.

Maybe the father wacked out.

Maybe a home invasion.

Maybe some gang retribution

Or maybe there is a slim chance the guy did not know how to apply for food stamps and did something crazy to feed his kids.

I could speculate and I bet I would be right (like usual)

I would agree with you, but, it is better when people can take care of themselves.

And we can't put people who lost their jobs in that category as of yet. Because these are people who have not constantly lived in these environments versus people who have lived in poverty their entire life.

Now your second half, I sorta kinda agree with you on. Agreeing with you totally would cause me pain.

Killer was a cousin to the husband.

OK. Killer jealous, supposedly, of that family for having more than him.

Other folk claim the killer was a slacker.

It's all just sad when it's a chinese family, even extended, going nuts in Brooklyn.
