How was ur medical ? Did u showed them anything ? Except P4 letter...

It's pretty quick and easy: took about 15 minutes. You need the fee, passport size pics, passport, ID, and interview letter.

Hey guys,

Had a question, just paid my AOS fee, I know I need to fill out the form I-864..I have a joint sponsor (I am currently a student), do I still fill out a I-864 form for myself and then a separate one out for the joint sponsor?

Also when I send the I-864 forms in, except the 1040s and proof of citizenship, employment letter...is there any other forms/things I need to send with the AOS package?

I would include official IRS transcript and last 3 pay stubs too. These days NVC is issuing checklists for minor things which delays your case for additional 30 business days so so why not do it right the first time.

Hmmmm I am going to have to ask about the official IRS transcript. I have the 1040s (and that the first 2 pages, said that was ok), and employment letter stating that the person is employed there.

What documents do I need to send for myself? The I-864, and a statement regarding why I don't have an income, anything else?

Also, I just paid the IV bill, what exactly needs to be send in for that? Will they send me a checklist or something? I saw on the country reciprocity, that for Pakistan, no Police Records are required..yet I keep hearing that they are asking for them?

WS, for the AOS package, it's recommended that you send the same stuff for the second person as you are sending for yourself. Application, 3 years IRS transcripts, employer letter, and last 3 pay stubs. In addition, his citizenship proof. At the minimum, you send application, latest one year tax transcript and proof of citizenship, but with minimum stuff, people have been getting checklist. So send all the above mentioned documents.

For civil documents, you need to send original Nikah Nama, wife's original birth certificate, 2 pictures, copy of her passport. Police certificate is not required, but if your wife has to mail civil documents from Pakistan, you can get that made and send it as well. It doesn't hurt.

Hey, thanks. :-) I've already made the changes to my timeline and wrote a post to help others going through the interview phase.

I'll leave for the U.S. hopefully soon Insha'Allah. I wish you all the best of your interview. I came across a number of people at the embassy who got approved Masha'Allah. So, don't worry.

Naina,

Did you get the passport with the visa the same day? If not, how long did it take you?

I heard they have been putting people on AP.

So I being the beneficiary doesn't need the original documents with me right? I gave them to my husband when he was leaving for US and I was confused if I have to send them to NVC or can he mail it? Cuz I just have the copy of my marriage and birth certificate and he has originals
