My parents were given 221g slip because I was under 125% poverty limit but my brother in law filled I 864A as household member who live in same house and has good income. They asked us to fill 864 for joint sponsor and 864A for his spouse. My question is that my brother be joint sponsor again. Can he add my income as 864A to show more income? Consulate kept my 864 but gave back brother in law's 864A form back. I am not sure why my sponsor was rejected despite 100k in bank account. Any advice greatly appriciated please. How long does it take to finalized visa after submitting paperwork at consulate.

04/21/2015 - NVC received Case

04/29/2015 - DS261 filled

What to you mean by adding you on his I-864? If they accept your I -864, you should just do what they asked for. Have your brother in law and his spouse fill out I-864. Don't forget supporting documents (tax return and pay stubs).

I wanted to add myself again on joint sponsor's I 864 as household member to boost up income. My brother inlaw has income of 45k with 4 members and 2 are being sponsored. He has 130K in bank account. his wife makes 15k a year. I make 15k also. if I combine all income it will be75k to sponsor 2 people and total family of 6. We were given back I864A of my BIL in interview by CO.
