Hey guys,

I applied with USCIS back in May 2006, that's when I wrote the affidavit of support. Now I think it expires in about 6 months from that date, should I write a new one with current date? Or does it even matter if its new or old as long as they have it at the embassy at the time of the interview?

P.S. The interview is Jan 10th.

Thanks,

Mike.

Send a new one now. The proof of income is supposed to be recent (within a few months). Since it needs to be notarized, get a few done at the same time (same price), and send a few regular mail. Should get there in 2 weeks, and only cost you less than a dollar.

They can probably still roll with the old one, but it would be good to do a new one too. If there's a large gap between the time you get notified and the actual interview, it may be good to send a new one... but may not be necessary either.
