NOA2 hard copy received today. Next steps...

Received my NOA2 hard copy in the mail today after getting an email notification October 22. Now on to the NVC.... I will begin calling them for a case number in another week.

So I am preparing all that is needed for the I-134. I will get tax records together. Should I get a note from my employer or will my W-2s be okay? And as far as my bank accounts go, are my statements okay or do I need actual written and signed notes about my accounts from the bank?

I want to make sure I have all that is needed for the interview.

Last questions... when can I expect the interview for my fiance? About 1-2 months from now? Will an interview date be set by the consulate or will she have to schedule it?

It would be better to have letter from your employer. I dont think you need statement or letter from your bank.

Your fiancee will receive package 3 which will require her to fill DS-160 (online) and DS-2001 ( paper form), 2 visa photo and her copy of passport.

The consulate will schedule the date.The interview date will be over 3 months from the day that Embassy received her package 3. Since, you are still waiting for case number ( I heard it takes longer than before to obtain the case number), so it would take more than 4 months for her to have interview from now.

Thank you for this helpful he information. I did not realize it will be another 4 months from this point, so that is good to know. I was hoping she would be able to get her VISA by late December, but it looks like a few months later than originally anticipated because I was under the impression she would get an interview within a month of the consulate receiving her package 3.

No problem. We would love to finish this process as soon as possible. My fiancee is still waiting to have interview date, but all I can hope at this point is that she will get interviewed in December. It could be January too.
