Hello guys! My mom (permanent resident) filed a petition last nov 22, 2010. I checked my status at USCIS and it says, initial review. Would you know how many years will it take before it gets to the next step which is decision. What should be my expectations? Thank you so much guys! smile.png

If you are unmarried and 21 or below then there should be an opening in 2 or 3 years but if you are over 21 or married then around 8 to 12 years or so. Edited by emmandenn

If mom petitioned you as an unmarried daughter 21 years old and above, you are under the F2B category. Processing time for approval of i-130 at the USCIS level may take 5 years. The total waiting time for the entire process: from USCIS, to NVC, to US Embassy Manila visa issuance will take 10-11 YEARS.

You have to remain unmarried the whole time, until after you enter the US, because marriage will void the F2B petition.

Current priority date for Philippines being processed for interview as of the Nov 2013 Visa Bulletin is 01 MAR 2003.
