Most everyone is getting RFE's these days. Don't sweat it. As far as when you'll receive the snail mail copy, I'm not sure. I think we got ours in the mail in just under two weeks. If after a month you haven't heard anything, maybe you should make an infopass appt and find out what's going on.

They ask you to wait 30 days to receive any mailed notices on the infoline, so wait at least that long before you contact anyone (only cause they'll tell you what I told you so just trying to save you a call :))

It took about three weeks for my RFE to reach me. The wait always seems unbearable because you know it's on the way and you don't have the information as to what the RFE is requesting. Hang in there, it's not uncommon from what I have seen on here for anyone to receive a RFE.

My RFE took about 5-6 days to reach me. Most RFE's are for I-864, sometimes for the stuff you've already submitted.

RFE's suck :(

Ours also took about 8 days to come in the mail. Some members like Sarah_and_Hicham had real problems with getting their RFE and had to schedule infopass appointment(s). As JamesMiranda said, there is not much you can do for the first 30 days.

Members who say most RFEs are for I-864 are correct. If you did not include the complete tax return, I would advise calling or visiting the IRS website and ordering your Return Transcripts as soon as possible (they are free for upto 3 previous years). Although IRS claims to process these requests within 10 business days, they took a WHOLE MONTH to send to us :angry: due to which it took us over a month to reply to the RFE!
