John Q Public gets to decide much less in regards to those that call for her resignation than they do for Presidential appointees. The term gerrymandering ring a bell? Doesn't work for Presidential elections but it works for the Representatives making all that noise. It's largely why they are where they are and why they are on the public payroll in the first place.

I would LOL except that we have seen this as but one of the excuses.

You have heard the expression "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". There is another, more ominous one..."If I cannot fix it, it ain't broke" And that is what we are hearing. We have now heard that employers are to blame for cutting hours, not the LAW which exempts them if they do not have more than 50 workers working more than 30 hours per week. What did they expect? We have heard that insurers canceling policies are "bad apples" and at the same time we hear that the people canceled will "be able to buy better insurance" So why are the insurance companies "bad apples"? They would seem to be humanitarians.

We also hear layer after layer of "I don't know", "I was not aware of that", "I will get back to you on that" Does anyone believe ONLY the website is a mess?

I think we all need to keep in mind the key provisions of this legislation...

1. You cannot be excluded for pre-exisitng conditions

2. You cannot be penalized unless you get an income tax refund

Deductibles are so incredibly high that most people will be better off to pay small expenses, office visits, etc. "out of pocket" with the money the save from NOT signing up. Adjust your withholding and/or estimated tax payments to eliminate the interest free loan you have been giving the government and make sure you get no refund or even owe a little money each year when you file (better to borrow THEIR money interest free) If and when you DO have a major illness, need surgery, THEN sign up. They cannot refuse you.

IF this is not thrown out by the Dems that need to get re-elected, the best way to end it is simply massive non-compliance. Unless hoardes of young, healthy, high earning individuals pay out the nose for coverage they do not need, the entire system collapses.

It is the largest flaw of the while thing and will not even be realized unless the broken website gets fixed.

The problem is that when the website works, the issue will switrch to the insurance itself. You think only the website is a mess? We are already seeing the hints of what is to come. Millions of people have been canceled from their existing policies and have not had a chance to sign up for Pelosicare yet. Wait until millions of people, not a few here and there, but MILLIONS find out they are going to be paying 2 x for premiums and 3 x or 4 x for deductibles. Seriously?

Fixing the website will only begin their problems.

Then imagine all those representatives have to stand for election.

Gerrymandering? It is designed to assure a seat for the PARTY or for a particular RACE, it does not assure a seat for a PERSON. The PERSONS in congress don't give a rat's popah about the party or their race, they want THEIR job...the one where they get more pay and benefits than they could ever make in private sector...AND are exempt from Schumercare. They will be losing the PRIMARIES for voting for this nonsense! They will lose to another Democrat or to another black...but they will lose. All their opponent has to say is "I support Universal Healthcare...and this is not it"

Anyone that imagines that Gerrymandering can save the Dems need only look back to 2010.

I would also like to point out that our good Senator Bernie Sanders (Ind. VT) introduced legislation during the development of Obamacare to implement exactly the plan we have here on a nationwide basis. He was shouted down...by DEMOCRATS. They refused to consider his amendment. It is in the congressional record.

I do not agree with Bernie on a lot of things, but I never question that in his heart he really wants to make things better for people.
