Can anyone tell me what this status means on the CEAC? The NVC sent a tracking confirmation on our petition and they said it was delivered on Oct 7, but the embassy still claims it hasnt arrived.

Case Creation Date: 30-Sep-2013 Status Updated Date: 03-Oct-2013
Your case is ready for your interview when scheduled at the U.S. Consular section. If you have already scheduled an appointment for an interview, please prepare your documents as directed in your appointment letter and appear at the consulate on the appointed date and time. Otherwise, please wait until you have been notified of your interview appointment. Additional information about how Immigrant Visa interview appointments are scheduled can be found at:http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3731.html

Do you have a case number? Your country's case number. You should be able to schedule for an interview with it.

I might be wrong about that.

yes, i looked at setting up an appointment, but to do so you need the receipt number from paying the visa fee, and i thought the visa fee had to be paid at the interview? i even emailed the embassy and asked where/when to pay the fee and they said at the interview....

and i do have the case number, that is how i got the status form CEAC

You have to pay online or through a bank (not quite sure about this but for me it's Standard Chartered Bank). You need to fill up DS-160 and then pay fees.

Instructions will vary for applicants from different countries, so it's always best to follow the instructions from the embassy you are applying at.
