The Indians have a long history of not getting the benefits of resources on their land. Just look into the history of uranium mining to get a glimpse. Reservation roads paved with uranium tailings etc.

I suggest to you that this issue, coal on Tribal lands is not a war on Indians but it is a battle with corporate mining interests.

I got folks in my family who won't even listen to a republican because of that. They're not on food stamps or any other government hand outs. My mother doesn't even know I voted for McCain back in 2008, I can't tell her for fear of breaking her heart.

I'm not a fan of them either way. If you want a gun for protection, that's your right. I have a problem when it's used to kill innocent people or start fights that end with someone dead.
