Democratic Rep. Alan Grayson of Florida sent a fundraising pitch equating the Tea Party to the Ku Klux Klan, which includes an image of a burning cross for the letter "T."

Sadly, no it's not.

Thank you for saying so Marvin. They (the Tea Party)desire a smaller less intrusive government. .... This is the main reason they exist. They don't dislike Obama because he is black but rather his policies and beliefs desire to greatly expand government on all levels when dealing with American lives......This comes at a cost that America cannot afford.....Not just monetary but freedoms encroached .

The liberal elite ... know that the people simply cannot be trusted; that they are incapable of just and fair self-government; that left to their own devices, their society will be racist, sexist, homophobic, and inequitable -- and the liberal elite know how to fix things. Here's my take. There are racist tendacies within the party, many examples of slurs and hate speech. But America has freedom of speech. My issue with the hate on Obama was he was in the white house a whole month before they unleashed on him. That's my opinion.

The KKK has committed several attrocities against minorities, the tea party isn't on this level, so to make the comparison is silly.

Tea Party never committed any lynching or murder so it's obviously not an equivalent comparison. But they compare Obama to Stalin and even Hitler (HAH), so pot meet kettle.

The NRCC is crying foul about "hateful words and imagery"? Ha, funny! Where was the NRCC with their condemnations when at one of the recent Tea Party rallies speakers went up on stage to demand that the President of the United States "get up, to put the Quran down, to get up off his knees, and to figuratively come out with his hands up"? Where was the NRCC when Tea Party racists walked around with this:

Yeah, that's right. They were sleeping. No, actually, they were cheering. But when the Tea Party is called out for being the group of haters and racists that they are, then the NRCC wants to cry foul. Gimme a break. Bunch of sorry hypocrites.

They gave Bush the same treatment, not the Tea Party, but protesters. I just want it even.

Exactly. And the Republican Party has been egging these Tea Party radicals on for years when they used hateful words and imagery against the President. They've embraced it. Shared the stage with them. They have no right to complain when hateful words and imagery is used against the Tea Party. You reap what you sow.

Truth. You can't use hate to push your agenda, then complain when you get a taste of it.

Obama not only complains about it, he sends the IRS to attack his detractors...Oh, nevermind, that was just some rogue agents in a small office... Im sure Obama knew nothing about it..

and Operation, Fast and Furious, Oh, Eric Holder didn't read those emails so he knew nothing about it... I feel safe knowing my President doesn't let weapons of war go to terrorists or drug cartels.

and Bengazi.. Obama was on his way to a fund raiser.., but it was just a demonstration against some little known anti-muslim movie.. satire...

At least Obama kept his campaign promise and closed Gitmo, and ended the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, and Im glad he didn't get us involved in the civil wars in Egypt, Lybia or Syria. and look at all the money he saved us by stopping aid to Egypt, oh, he gave that money to Pakistan.. #######.?

and this Obamacare thing is really working out great.! Obama said we can have free/affordable healthcare, or if we have other insurance, we can keep it, and I like my doctor so I can keep using him too. :-) ..Oh.. I work for a small company, they cut my hours and cancelled the health insurance..

So Obama and the Democrats were just using satire when they called for civility after Gabby Giffords was shot.. Talk about hypocrites, wasn't her husband out buying an AR-15 while also campaigning for gun control...

Gosh, I hope in the next election the Democrats take full control of the house and senate... I hope they raise taxes on all the rich people so I can get more government subsidies..

You keep talking about "The tea Party" like it is one group when it is hundreds of individual groups all across the country.

There have been thousands of rallies and

You present one tiny photo.. not even big enough to see if it is another photo shop job or if it might be authentic.

I hardly see that as a compelling case.

I have graced a few meetings with my presence and in my area they seemed to be very image concerned on the issue of race.

You will see more Blacks on stage than in the crowd... kinda like an environmental or peta rally.

At one occasion in front of the court house, a guy showed up in (I kids you not) a confederate uniform with a .... you guessed it, a Confederate Battle flag handing out flyers about honoring heritage. He was asked to leave.

At one cookout, a number of Black candidates running for office came to meet and greet, and they were certainly welcome.

With tens of thousands of people showing up at events all across the country, sure you are bound to find people who are exactly as you advertise.

The only credible charge I have seen is a leader of one group in NY or somewhere wrote antagonistic stuff on a blog and he was dismissed.

I can promise you one thing..... the likelihood of inflammatory people, on the issue of race are just as likely to be found at the Million man march or any other major black event. Did anyone denounce The Nation of islam, nope, I believe they had a acting roll in events.

So what, big deal.

"Sadly" Why "sadly"?

Did he mention that the KKK was started by, run and promoted Democrats? I bet he forgot about that.

No one forgot about it Gary. The question is, how many Democrats are still in the KKK?
