Interview today..status AP

Hello VJ Members!

Had my interview today..everything went well, except my NBI clearance. I should have an A.K.A on it due to the correction made before for typographical error on my last name. My NSO birth certificate has an annotation at the bottom of it. Now the US Embassy wants me to have an NBI Clearance with A.K.A. then sent me the 221g letter on my email and gave me a 2go form to fill up. Then the girl at window 72 said that i can go home. I left all my papers and passport at the embassy. I checked my status at ceac.state.gov and it says Administrative Processing.

I want to know, Am I approved?

I also secured the NBI clearance with AKA and sent to USEM this afternoon. How long usually it takes to change the status at ceac.state.gov?

Advices are highly appreciated..

well, did they tell you anythiing at the interview about u were pre approved? this type of AP is they are waiting ur document to arrive once they check in and see if it is ok, your status will change to issued

no, they did not tell anything. but they keep my documents and passport..i sent it to them the same day on my interview date thru 2go courier. i just hope they will update my status soon...it's been a long waiting and a lot of frustrations process.

if they kept your passport you are good. and if all the documents u need for the 221g are in order you ll have your visa soon! i dont know how fast the Philippines embassy processes the missing documents but shouldn't be that long unless they have backlog. just think no matter how long they take u ll have your visa at the end

Hello there randy and april, I also experienced the same thing. I was interviewed last dec 19 and still no visa. How long did it take for the embassy to process your 221g? Thanks
