Hi

I am the beneficiary, my USC husband is filing out the DS 260

I have a kid from my previous marriage and my current husband didnt apply to him right now because of his financial situation but later on we are going to apply.

We answered the first question "NO" then second question came up and we dont know exactly how to answer it

Q: Is this child immigrating to the US with you?

A: No

Q: Is this child immigrating to the US at a later date to join you?

Please advice which answer should we use in our situation? If we say "YES" do we have to fill any application?

Thank you

You said the child will come later right and not no. So its No they aren't immigrating with you. next questions is Yes they are coming at a later date.

As far as I understand that is for follow to join benefits which CR1 do not qualify for, however I would still check yes like Dwheels suggested because it's the truth.

Maybe saying "to join at later date" means that I-130 filed or the case is already in progress and child will be immigrating at later date?

I am understanding this question in different ways, even that is so can i explain to the CO that i couldnt get the right meaning of that question?

I would check yes and just explain at the interview if a question is asked.
