We ran into a little problem in the medical exam. The doctor said there are dark spots on the chest xray and have made my fiance come back for 3 days to do spetum samples for testing. They told her that it will take 2 months to get the results. She called the embassy to see if she could schedule an interview while waiting for the test results. I got home today to find a message from her stating that our petition expires December 7th. We will not have the test results by then. Do petitions expire or does she not understand something?

My letter from the NVC stating that the I129F was forwarded to the Kiev Embassy was dated September 16, 2013. On my I797 there is no priority date listed (the box is blank) which I had read determines your interview scheduling.

Does anyone have any insight or website to look up information for this?

Thanks

It is my understanding the consulates can extend the time in 4-month increments. If you're concerned, contact the consulate and request that they do this.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.
