Will my case be processed as IR-1 or F2A?

Folks,

I petitioned my wife on F2A and case was moved to NSC from VSC.

On 4th october, I called USCIS and they put in a request to upgrade my petition as i was naturalized that day. As i see NSC is working good enough on the petitions and approving them fast ( atleast better than NBC). And I am sad to see that Ir-1 petitions are taking soo long nowadays.

My question is, will my petition be processed as F2A or Ir-1? Is it possible that USCIS will not care about the class and process it anyways or will they transfer it to NBC?

I want them to process it as F2A and then it can get classed accordingly at the NVC stage coz IR-1 is very delayed as of now.

Any inputs from folks out here ?

When you requested to have your classification changed from spouse of LPR to spouse of USC, that was the point of no return; you cannot unring the bell now.

Then why did you update your status now then? You will be processed now as a US Citizen. Hopefully it shouldn't slow your case down at all.

Thank you. I am hoping its gets adjudicated soon and that it does not get stuck in some blackhole.

All the best to everyone here.
