Hello everyone,

I applied for my fiancé visa. On 5/31/2013 it was approved by USCIS. I received notice that it was sent to the consulate, the Juarez Consulate. A notice was supposed to be sent to me to set the interview date back in June. I have not received anything. I have called the Visa processing center 3 times and they have sent a notice to the consulate to resend the notification as we need this to schedule our interview and for her to enter the consulate. As of today, October 24, 2013 we have not received anything. I checked the CEAC U.S. Department of State website and selected the Visa Status Check and it is in the “Ready” status. It has been in the “ready” status since June.

Does anyone have any advice or avenues that we can turn to, to get this notice? Or has anyone had a similar issue and know how to get it resolved?

Thank you -

*New* The new form DS-260 need to be filled out online and submitted electronically. You will need to print out the receipt with bar code to bring with you.

Florida4life...

Thank you for the post. So.... I don't need to wait for the Juarez Consulate to sent me the notice to schedule my interview?.. I can just do the DS-260 online and submitt electronically ?

You do not use the DS-260. The DS-160 has now replaced all the other DS forms previously used by Juarez. See this post I made about the changes > http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/459960-new-instructions-for-juarez-oct-2013/

Go ahead and fill out the form, pay your fee and schedule your appointments. If you still do not receive the letter from Juarez by the time of your appointments, then go to the consulate information window before your appointments and medical and let them know you never received it and need one printed out to attend your appointments.

Edit > I just updated the Juarez Info page here on VJ to reflect the recent changes, so I hope that will help others that may be confused with what is now required for CDJ. http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Mexico&cty=Juarez
