-You must see the people on here who try to shut me up with personal insults and attacks, they like the way things are and so they want to silence anyone poking a finger in the eye of whats -acceptable race conversation.

-Poor Blacks are unique from poor whites in that they have been clustered in certain areas which accent the problem. They are neatly tucked into areas which allow "Vote consolidation".

In other words, so that those who do the "tucking" can get enough black votes to get reelected.

The more you peal the scab off the uglier it gets.

White poverty is sprinkled all over.

No, what folks are trying to do is not be racist. You don't want to have a race conversation, you want to put down black people. You've been doing it for quite some time now.

I'm gonna regret this...

When you say "the problems that black people face on a daily basis", do you mean to include all black people?

We are talking about black Americans, not Africans that come to American or not Africans that are born in America.

We are talking strictly about blacks whose families have been here for decades.

OK got it. When you say "the problems that black people face on a daily basis" you mean to include all of the people that you described above?

I'll tell you why I'm asking. It seems, to me at least, that its not likely that all black people face the same problems on a daily basis.

Going back to the original topic, re the kid with the pellet gun.

Now we're going back a few pages, but wasn't there a comment on "Wouldn't anyone be able to tell he was a 13 year old kid"?

...how old were the kids at Columbine?

How old were the kids at Taber?

How could these deaths be prevented? Yeah, gun education/safety is one, proper storage is another, and not letting your kid out with anything remotely resembling a gun...society in general now, we seem so scared of everything, we get bombarded by all these news stories of crazies and the like...no wonder people see some random kid walking with what looks like a gun and call the cops.

And on that note...there's a lot of...shall we say jazzed up guns out there? Have a friend who got a pink handgun of some variety as a wedding gift from her hubby.

And there are basic steps one can take to turn your problems from Jail to..... figuring out how to lower your taxable amount.

Okay Danno, step one, since you are the concerned person fighting for "certain" blacks to improve their situation, how do we start?

I'm joining your newly formed non-profit to help blacks.

Mr. I only speak facts, you never did answer my question. How many black friends do you have right now?

You are obsessed with me having Black friends, I only invited one Black person to my wedding (it was fairly small anyway).

News flash Marvin, once people establish their lives they rarely have close friends who are of other races.

There are exceptions, people in the military, people who marry across racial lines. etc.

Even dating is still fairly exclusive and with even less mixed relationships producing marriages.

Bankers don't tend to rub shoulders with Plumbers, Lawyers only hang out with e-cons when they are on the job.

People who are young don't hang-out with older people.

People who snort drugs do not hang out with straight laced people.

People typically are drawn to people like themselves with ROMANCE often being the one exception (Love breaks all the rules smile.png

This even extends to intelligence, your friends are most likely of similar intelligence as you are.

The fact that Blacks enjoy black-bars should not mean they are racist or a white guy who joins a nearly all white environmental org.

Some times races and incomes and ages and all of that cross, often times it does not.

LIFE IS FULL OF GENERALITIES Exceptions don't change that.

That my best friend is not black means nothing. Except I am average.

That your mom probably doen't have a White BFF is quite normal.

Just in case you did not know, when you make friends across racial lines, it helps to demolish stereotypes, generalizations and curiosities of the unknown. You have a very limited thought process about blacks but are not willing to cross the lines that can help you get a better understanding.

Why does it have to be non-proffit?

If we are about to save the world (or at least part of it) shouldn't we be compensated?

CHANGE

It is impossible to do without someone feeling pain. There are no quick fixes, social dysfunction never is.

The KEY Is undoing the destruction of the Black families, turning that around. (Whites too)

Black boys (can I say that?) need their fathers in their homes and lives.

It is so bad,

They even came up with a Fathers day card for Black mothers.

Like most families my mom and dad often clashed, mostly over his drinking when I was young. The reason she stayed was

-because it would have been too difficult on her own w 4 kids.

-Her Catholic Faith

-She knew we needed a father.

Every one of those motivations were erased by the sixties revolution and the welfare state.

When I was born Illegitimate births in my community were 1%

Had my mom Grown up in the 70s she would not be stigmatized by divorce, welfare, Wedding vows. And I too would have had no dad and without a doubt would have been in prison.

We have to make staying together amore attractive option.

We have toi make "doing the wrong thing" painful -unwed mothers- not working-not finishing school.

Families build communities, build cities.

Whites are in for their own surprise, they just have not made it around the bend.

Not necessarily disagreeing with what you wrote. But....

In your discussion about doing the wrong thing, you use the example of unwed mothers. I think we need to also focus on the men. I think just as much emphasis needs to be put on men being faithful spouses and good fathers. The decline of the family is the fault of both men and women.

Also, while statistically these problems may be more prevalent in the black community, I wonder if there is a more direct correlation to socioeconomic status rather than race.

Again,

How do you propose this problem is fixed? You can say what needs to be fixed, but what can be physically done to fix it. Will you hold a microphone up on the street corners and ask black men to marry the women they are having children with a be good fathers?

And a woman staying with a man because the children needs a father although the husband is a drunkard and physically abusing his wife still leaves the children without a reality of how a family should be. This is not beneficial and just perpetuates the cycle. The children are more likely to grow up and be abusive themselves or scared to commit because of what they saw growing up.

It seems like something you should never have to ask someone right?
