There's no doubt that mental health and economics are the driving factors behind most gun deaths, but it's the easy access to the guns that makes these deaths easier and drives the numbers way up.

Brazil has the most gun murders of any country on earth, but one of the lowest suicide rates. So they must be happy, emotionally stable people with easy access to guns who just kill other people instead of themselves.

I guess killing someone is a good stress reliever.

did i say more of the same amount/quality education/jobs? no, because i meant more. much more.

we don't need to investigate anything of the sort. but that is a real nice list of piss poor excuses. nice job.

Districts have tried the more, More, MORE approach with little to show for it.

One schools budget was so large (by court order) they even built an Olympic Sized swimming pool in the new school.

While the recipients of all this money are doing well, the kids are not.

Remind me again how many black friends do you have Danno?

This.... is your defensive argument?

LOL

Jeez I hate to keep ringing the bell but we see the same thing here in the US of A.

Blacks are nearly ten times more likely to murder but they have the lowest suicide rates.

Greenland (or is it iceland) has the highest rates in the world, maybe 3 times as high as the next country.

What can we learn from this?

Heck if I know.

that would be where the increase of quality would come into play.

if you believe everything possible has already been tried and failed miserably, and there is no solution other than starting with a clean slate - why discuss the matter at all?

-More money is spent per student on low income schools than suburban schools.

Is that so? Then why is it that school districts are better funded where fewer students live in poverty? If what you claim is true, then the graph would be reversed - i.e. funding would go up as poverty rates increase. And yet, the opposite is the case. Where you have fewer students live in poverty, funding per student for the district goes up. Significantly so, I might add.

Because you do not know any black people, personally, up close, your comments on here just don't make sense sometimes. Again, you still talk as if all black people want to be on welfare, get government help and have 10 kids.

While, you ignore the millions of blacks that are doing good and are succeeding with all odds against them, i.e. people who think like you.

Trust me Janelle, I have plenty of experience with Black people. Experience is not what I lack.

I continuously highlight the mass of poor Blacks and the serious problems in that regard. For some reason, no matter how often I try to make this distinction,

you and Marvin read "All blacks" ... why is that>?

I have pointed out many times how well Blacks with an education or, who are married do and the social improvement we have seen in this part of the black community..

Yet you want to pretend I am speaking of "All Blacks."

There are many Blacks doing well, in fact so well that two Blacks married with each holding a college degree earn more than the comparable white couple.

These folks are living the American dream but to pretend their life will ever be mimicked in the lives of the underclass is cruel.

Eric Holder accused Americans of being cowards for not talking about race.....He was right.

We are afraid to talk about it or if we do we are only permitted to say the same old predictable platitudes.

By and large Blacks only want to have a one-way conversation....

and Whites are so happy to oblige them.... (as they choose their zip codes very carefully). There is such a market for this "Racial break down" info when buying a home that Zillow.com now lists it on their house info section.

So forgive me for not fitting that mold as I will honestly talk about race.. and I will listen.

But what I have a hard time doing is being a DWL (Disingenuous white liberal) pretending facts are not facts ....and truth is not truth

and that all is well, or will be the Danno's of the world are gone.

THAT is not how you make progress, not with posters and lit candles, nor We are the World sing alongs.

No one wants to have a one way conversation. You just continue to ignore the problems that black people face on a daily basis even though we show you what is happening.

People can easily be comfortable in an environment that they know instead of venturing out into the unknowns.

Another thing I dislike, you pretend that every other community has no problems and that blacks are the low scum of the planet.

Here is what we need and lets see if you can make your case.

Show me two school districts in the same general area and compare apples to apples.

It's no secret the more "underprivilaged" kids (free lunch) the more federal money kicks in (not to mention other funds).

Mr. I only speak facts, you never did answer my question. How many black friends do you have right now?

-You must see the people on here who try to shut me up with personal insults and attacks, they like the way things are and so they want to silence anyone poking a finger in the eye of whats -acceptable race conversation.

-Poor Blacks are unique from poor whites in that they have been clustered in certain areas which accent the problem. They are neatly tucked into areas which allow "Vote consolidation".

In other words, so that those who do the "tucking" can get enough black votes to get reelected.

The more you peal the scab off the uglier it gets.

White poverty is sprinkled all over.

I'm gonna regret this...

When you say "the problems that black people face on a daily basis", do you mean to include all black people?
