i'm not a cop danno. nor have a shot a 13 year old in the street.

no matter what, this kid didn't shoot the gun at anyone. there was no reason for the cops to shoot him. especially not shoot to kill.

It's too late to defend when the bullet has left the barrel

You don't use Lethal force to knick someone.. At 30 ft that's Hollywood #######

I am sure nobody is suffering more than that cop right now.

Oh, and when I was a kid you could have a toy gun like that and not get shot.

Why?

Because nobody carried real assault rifles, so cops knew they were toys.

I thought Toy guns now had to have big orange tips.

This has happened more than once

aw. do tell me about the real world daddy! when do i get to join in with the others?!

no, deadly force was not justified. obviously. cops should be a little bit more in control of their emotions with their fingers on the trigger, imo. this isn't an isolated incidence, it happens quite frequently.

Quick.Someone has a realistic looking assault weapon pointed at you from 30 feet. You have your weapon drawn screaming at them to put it down. After several times they raise it and point it at you.

From 30ft is he 13 or 16..Not un realistic to think an young adolescent could be armed and crazy.

I agree some out of control cops out there.

Sounds like this time they made a quick life and death decision, and it was a tragedy.. What if they had been right. They would be dead.

they do in my book.

That may be the most ridiculously left non-sense I have ever heard.

So a cop has to have bullets come down range on a collision course with his body before he can fire. Do you think it's the matrix and non-cop bullets move in slow mo.

Jesus.

Proving that the problem is not guns. It's what has happened to society.

I thought the same exact thing..So what has changed?

1. availability of guns wouldn't affect the total suicides by gun? please.

2. does it matter who is being killed by guns? no.

1. Of course it would affect suicide by gun

Suicide..Not so much

Thanks for sharing that.

It's ironic that similar countries saw the same small drop, even those which did not collect any guns.

Perhaps the most similar country would be New Zealand.

Even the USA saw a sizable drop.

Truth is it probably has more to do with abortion being readily available than anything.Less unwanted abused angry people.

If we could kill entitlement programs that produce more of the same the rates would really fall.

I carry a gun because a cop is too heavy.

Uhhh, please tell me this photo was modified and that is not a real picture?

The picture is real, I mean its a real picture. Is the gun real? Does the crazy lady intend to do harm to the baby? My point is if you are a cop what do you do? Wait for the lady to shoot the gun to see if its real? How old is the crazy with the gun? Is she 13? 18? 25?

In North Carolina if you carry a sidearm it's required to be loaded. Seems crazy right? But whats the point of carrying an empty gun, everyone assumes its loaded. You'll be just as dead if you point an empty gun at a cop as you would a loaded or toy gun.

Those cops that killed that 13 year old boy assessed the situation and made a decision. Some may not think its the right decision I totally get that, it sucks that a kid died over a toy gun. When someone is pointing a gun at me or one of my family, toy or not, I hope that the cop makes the same decision and aims for center mass.

I'm sure you'd feel the same way if your child got shot too.

Well that's just crazy talk, I'd feel outrage and grief just like any parent, to claim that I wouldn't would be an outright lie. But I'm also realistic and how the parent of a dead 13 year old feels doesn't change the fact that cops have a tough job that requires them to make tough decisions. Do they get it 100% right, absolutely not, just like doctors, politicians and ditch diggers. Don't like it? Run for office and make a change or put on a badge and make a difference.

The cops probably made this part up to cover their as$es.
