Hello everybody :)

I do have my approval letter NOA2, but as of right now my case has been stuck since over 3 months between USCIS and NVC, maybe even lost...

Can I do my medical exam now, even do my case is not at the Consulate quite yet?

I just would like to be completely done with everything by the time my case is recovered and ends up at the Consulate in Germany, so the process can be sped up a little, since we already lost 3 months waiting.

I already requested my police report, so I should get that within the the next week or so and I think I got most of my other documents ready to go!

Any other ideas what I could already do while waiting for the USCIS to find my case?

Thank you! :)

Hi,

You are not able to get your medical done until you have an appt with the Consulate as at the medical they will ask you for your appt confirmation. What you can be doing is getting all of the paperwork ready to be sent off to the Consulate. Check, double, triple, even quadruple check to make sure it is all filled out correctly. I am not able to navigate the German Consulate website so I would ask around in the German forum to see what forms, etc you will need. You could start printing off skype logs, photos, itineraries of visits, etc for the interview. Hope this helps.

Thank you for you replies! :)

I think it might be different in Germany, because I have heard from others who did their medical well ahead of time, but I will call the consulate and the approved physician monday and ask. ;)

I already found a list of all needed documents and gathered them in one folder and I am in the process of printing out photos from the past 3 years :)
