Hi everyone! Wanna ask some question regarding K1 Visa. My Fiance/Bf got a Letter from National Visa Center with case number. Was this means I could pay Visa Processing Fee and Could schedule for my Medical Exam? But haven't get any Notice of Action yet, I'm so confused. What are difference of National Visa Center case number and Notice of Action 2 with case number are they the same? Shall I bring the original copy of my Fiance Divorce Decree on my interview or only the photocopy/xerox copy of His Divorce Decree? Please, help me find the answers. May God Bless us all!

My Fiance/Bf got a Letter from National Visa Center with case number. Was this means I could pay Visa Processing Fee and Could schedule for my Medical Exam?

- yes. you can pay the visa fee now and schedule your medical and interview.

- print that letter, you will need it for the medical

But haven't get any Notice of Action yet, I'm so confused. What are difference of National Visa Center case number and Notice of Action 2 with case number are they the same?

- If you already have a case number, then your petition has already been approved. Check https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard.do using your receipt number. It should show if you're post decision activity.

-NVC case number is your new case number. You will use it to monitor if your files have reached the USEM in the Philippines. You can track it through https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx . The case number should start with MNL

-NOA2 case number is usually just your receipt number. It is not the same with the MNL# you got from NVC.

Shall I bring the original copy of my Fiance Divorce Decree on my interview or only the photocopy/xerox copy of His Divorce Decree?

- I've read here on vj that others just showed a scanned copy of the original divorce decree and it was accepted by the consul. But its always safer to have the certified final divorce decree ready if the consul asks for it. You will need this during the CFO seminar too.

Any other questions, use Hank's guide as the poster above me stated smile.png

You need to read, re-read and study the guides at the top of the page. You have had months to prepare for this stage, you should have had your ducks all in a row long before this point.

Thank you so much for the information!

You got the NVC letter then you are good to go, as you now have you MNL #

Yes you can pay your visa fee, schedule the interview and do the medical.

Did your fiancee get the NOA2 (797) from USCIS stating the petition was approved? You will need that a few months from now after you are in the USA.

As for the divorce decree, only bring a copy.

Hello All!! Newbie to VJ :)

Our I-129F had been approved Sept 11th 2013, got case number on Oct 21st after calling NVC multiple times.

Oct 22nd status shows as in transit and its been almost 4 days and its still the same.

I am preparing packet 3, had a few questions, hoping you guys can help:

1) What is the photo size to submit with packet 3, for medicals and to take to interview?

2) Do I book the medical appointment in Toronto before I receive instructions for packet 3/4 or just wait till petition arrives in Montreal?

3) Can the petitioner be present at the interview in Montreal?

Thanks and good luck to all in the k-1 journey :)
