My husband just had his interview at Islamabad embassy, the result was an AP obviously.

My husband took a lot of proofs, but the co never asked to see any. He only asked to see our wedding pictures and said those are enough after my husband asked if he wanted to see more,

The following are the interview questions the co asked

Who is sponsoring you?

How long have you been married?

How do you know each other and how did you meet?

How many times did you meet after the wedding and when was the most recent trip?

Do you have any children?

How did your wife get her immigration status?

What does your wife's father do? (Cosponsor)

Does your wife work currently?

Do you work?

What is your highest qualification?

Have you ever traveled to the US? (No)

Then he said thank you etc we need to do further administrative processing on your case. He took his passport and gave the green AP slip.

I don't understand if my husband was supposed to keep offering proofs or the co has to ask for them?

not sure what to make of this :(

He was put in AP because they want to do background checks on him (which I think is standard for men in Pakistan).

If the consul did not believe that your marriage is genuine, he would have asked for proof, but that's not the case.

No, it's because he's from Pakistan.
