Hello VJ,

I just want to share my experience visiting my fiance in the US while we have our K1 visa processing. I brought with me my job contract, confirmation of our K1 in progress, pay slips, utility bills, rent receipts, my life insurance cover, return ticket, my fiance confirmed flight itinerary for Jamaica in November.

I visited my October 18, 2013 to be returned on the 21th (am back home in Jamaica), at port of entry, the immigration officer ask what do I do, how much I plan on spending while in the US, what was I doing before my current job, what is my purpose, business or pleasure, when was the last time I was in the US (which was February 18th,he looked in my passport and said I only stayed for 2 days, I told him I had to return to work), who will I be staying with (I said my fiance), How long will I be staying?.... THAT'S IT!!!! We talk a bit as he's from the Caribbean, so I guess I had a good connection. He stamped my passport for April 17, 2014, but I still return on my original date for October 21th. At customs, my bag was scanned and the customs officer asked who will I be staying with and I said my fiance and THAT WAS IT

My fiance was very surprise I came out so quickly, I even thought I was going to be held in that room I heard about and being question, thank God none of that happened. NONE of my documents were looked at neither was I told that I couldn't get married but I already knew that.

Overall, experience was great and am hoping to visit my fiance for the Christmas.

All the best guys
