Hello,

We just got married and after the shutdown I finally applied for my social security number, but i have some doubts

My wife(she is the USC) is going to take one of my last names but i was trying to have my name change too. I have 5 names(A/B/C/D/E), a first and middle name and my last name has 3 names (my mom family name and 2 of my dads family name).

I was thinking of dropping 2 of my last names so i would only have 3 names total (A/B/E).

When i applied to the SSN i asked if he could issue the card only with one of my last names, but the person said it had to be exactly like it is on the I-94 form, plus if i change it and get that on my green card my passport would have to have the exact same name.

So my question are:

How do I go about dropping those extra names?

Will this make my AOS more complicated?

Will I have to change my name on my home country and have them issue a new passport?

thx
