Certified? Nortorized?

Time and time again, posters are asking about whether they need certified copies, notorized copies, original documents? Sometimes it drives me nuts. There is a misconception that people hold "orignial" documents, and they don't, or that certified and notorized documents are the same...*sigh*

Could we have something pinned, for all forums or something... somewhere that describes what these things are? I just read through two pages of "copies, photocopies, raised seals, originals, certified, notorized..." all with differing opinions, but not being posted as opinions, as facts! Yikes!

These issues if not addressed correctly MAY result in RFE's, so I'd like to see some type of definitions that people can refer to.

What do you think?

I agree it could be helpful... but sadly enough... you see just as many (or more) people ask questions where answers can be found in the pinned posts or handy links. It baffles me.
