anyone tried expediting AOS (I-485 from K1 Visa)

just got married and after 2 weeks, my husband has to leave and go back to Japan where he is stationed. Now, we're separated again and I'm stuck here in U.S. as I cannot travel outside U.S. and missing my husband so bad :-(

I already called Military Hotline, and they have fulfilled my expedite request. The day after that, I received an email from them to fax his military order.

it's been 4 days since I've faxed the documents to them but haven't heard anything. any applicants who are in the same situation like me? was your expedite process successful?

11/08/2013 - Received the RFE letter in the mail & sent RFE on the same day!!

11/14/2013 - RFE respond received

12/04/2013 - I-485 Family-based Card in production (a.m.) then went to Decision (p.m.) - NO interview

12/09/2013 - Green Card was mailed!

12/11/2013 - GC received! 2 months and 1 day from the NOA1

Why?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

I've been calling them everyday. But they will always tell me to wait and wait. :-| So now I'm wondering if someone from here has experienced anything like this ClockWatch2.gif

I was in the same situation as yours 2 years ago, around the same time of the year! We got married then he went back to Japan. I remembered we filed for an expedited process and was approved in a week or less. So maybe wait a week and then follow up thru the military hotline. I got my green card in 5 months so I'm not sure if the expedited process really helped or maybe because we got an RFE in the middle of the process. Good luck on your application!

Hi heidi! how did you know if the expedite was approved? did you receive a letter or any notification via email or did you call them? I keep calling them everyday but they said is to just wait. so I guess I just have to wait. and it's been a week now since I requested it.

I just asked him and he said he called the military help line to follow up. He can't remember if he has received anything in the mail regarding the approval, but I'm thinking he didn't because he could have given that to me if he did. I just asked him and he said he called the military help line to follow up.
