G-325A

can someone please help me to fill out the bottom section for the G-325A? It says there are 3 options (Naturalization, Status As Permanent Resident, Other)?

Husband (Me) US Citizen : I think I should fill out "in support of spouse's 129F" and "in support of spouses's 130", is that right?

Wife (China) : "Naturalization"? or "Status As Permanent Resident"?

Apparently too late to edit...

I wanted to add that I used Adobe Acrobat to complete our forms. The original 'fillable' PDF file I downloaded and used had a bug in it where if you selected 'Other' on one form it would change to 'Naturalization' on the other 3. There is a newer fillable form without this bug so be careful.

As for example form, the K1 example is good enough - just put Other: Petition for K3 Spouse Visa or something like that.

For me (US Citizen), I'm sure to put the "in support of spouse's I-129F" or "in support of spouse's I-130" (4 for each I-129F, and I-130)

but my question is I'm not sure what to put for my wife (she is from China, I know this "from China" doesn't matter) but just to say she is out of country..

Do I put "Naturalization" for her or do I put "Status as Permanent Resident"? I'm still not sure about that part.. so according to robor007, I can just put "Other - Spouse's Visa" in all 16 forms (4 for me I-129F, 4 for me I-130, 4 for her I-129F, 4 for her I-130)? Do I need to mention the specific visa that I am applying for (like I stated above)??

I am just starting the journey with her.. I am preparing to get married next year (March 2007) and go back to marry her.. but I need to get a "single status" document here in US? I hear that I need to prove that I'm single and have to get 4 signatures (public notary, county clerk, secretary of state, and Chinese Consulate)... I am located in Los Angeles, California.

If you can confirm this, please do.

On your wife's G-325, she should put the same thing you are putting on there -- Other: I-130 Petition or I-129F Petition for K3. If you do a cover letter, you can state on it what you are applying for (i.e, K3) which is what we did. The biographical information is always attached to your original petitions anyway.

I plan to get married in March 2007 (go back to China and get married - have her fill out the G-325A and give passport pictures - is that all I need from her?).. then when I come back I will start to apply I-130 (and later I-129F) in start of April 2007... so hopefully she can come April 2008.. nothing is set in stone.. it may take longer or shorter.. but estimated time..

Sounds like you are ready Good luck with everything. I'm not sure about your earlier question re proof of being single, that must be something China requires - have you tried checking the China forum?

Thank you .. yes, my fiance (for now, but we are using K-3) mentioned for me to get a "single status" authentication form and "marriage registeration in China" form to fill out and get a "certificate" stating I am single so I can marry out of country.. not really sure on how to approach that (but I will need to have completed before March 2007 when I go back).. I thought that giving to a public notary would be sufficient.. but it needs 4 different certified people to read it (public notary, county clerk, secretary of state, and chinese consulate).. but that's ok.. I still have a few months to research on that..

I don't know about China but I know I had to get an 'Affidavit of Capacity to Marry' for the Philippines. I had to go to the US Embassy and present my passport, birth certificate, and proof of divorce for my previous marriage. I needed to present this in order to get our marriage license. Where do you get your marriage licenses in China? I would call them and ask what it takes to marry a foreigner.
