I know it's soon (we've only been waiting 3 months) but I just emailed the Senator's office in my state inquiring about whether or not they could look into our file and push it along for adjudication. (Subject of email was 'help with USCIS').

Keep your fingers crossed that this works.

that's great ! did you include a scanned, signed, privacy release form, as well?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

No I didn't. I filled out their contact form online. In the event that someone does contacts me, I am sure they will want that privacy form and all the other details before proceeding.

I received an automatic response saying that someone will contact me shortly.

When I first contacted the Immigration Liason Staffer,

I called in, learned who it was.

Then I faxed off the signed release form with a cover letter containing the bio data and my questions,

and emailed it all in as well, same day. All attention to that Human's Name.

Later in the day, I called in, asked for that human by name, and asked her if she got my stuff yet.

I dunno, I'll suggest our approaches are different. I'm a fan of using the telephone, I've a great voice that engages people to do my bidding wink.png

You are RIGHT!!!! WAYYYYYYYYY to early. Senators or Congressman cannot and usually WILL NOT do anything until you are OUTSIDE the normal processing times according to USCIS website posted processing times. According to your time line your petition may possibly be approved Feb or March of next year.

Good Luck !!!dancin5hr.gif

I just received my response to a similar request from my Congressman today in the mail. My request was both faxed and sent registered mail in the required format just before the government shutdown and it took nearly a month to arrive. Wording of the the (canned) response:

October 21, 2012

Mr. John Petitioner

1234 Anticipation Avenue

Erehwon, XX 12345-6789

Dear Mr. Petitioner,

Thank you for contacting my office for assistance. I received the following response from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services in response to my inquiry on your behalf.

Our sincere apologies for the delay in response to your inquiry. It is unfortunate that Petitioners are having to go through this wait, however, due to the volume of this application processing time has become longer than normal and currently it may take 10 - 12 months for processing. That processing time could possibly change in months to come, however, we are not able to provide exactly when that will take place.

Thanks kindly,

Susan Gary-Peeler on behalf of HQ, USCIS, OLA

Liaison Specialist

I'm sorry that the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services wasn't able to provide a more favorable response to you.

If you should require any assistance in the future with a federally related matter, please do not hesitate to contact my office.

Sincerely,

Lou St. Vote

Member of Congress

I tried the congresswoman in my state and signed that form you mentioned. Whether it's too soon or not... it's worth a shot. At least I tried. It can't hurt.
