My fiance had his interview this morning and he was approved! He said the process was smooth and easy and they didn't ask for any of the evidence that we brought in about our relationship. I did frontload the application, so maybe that helped - I don't know. We didn't get to talk too much this morning, but as soon as I get more details from him tonight, I will post an embassy review.

First, my fiance is in Morocco so this information is about the embassy in Casablanca.

Here are some of the details he gave me:

  • There was one woman who was really nice and one that didn't seem so friendly, luckily he got the nice one.
  • He had the most paperwork of anyone there - It was about 5lbs to be exact - LOL. I may have overdone it, but I wanted him to be overly prepared. Well - they didn't even look at it! He never opened any of our evidence! The woman looked at the pictures I sent them with the I-129f, but that was it.
  • Some questions he was asked
    • How did you meet?
    • Why does your fiance want to marry a Moroccan?
    • Did you only talk to Americans?
    • Why did you choose an American?
    • How have you kept in contact?
  • He said the interview lasted 5 minutes and the woman was very nice and congratulated him. She told him to come back on Friday to pick up his Visa.
  • His interview was 9:30am and he was finished at 12:30pm.
  • He did notice some people that were denied their visas and others that were approved, but whose interviews lasted much longer than his.

That's all the information I have for now! I will post more tonight once I get to talk to him.

I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited! The thought that I might be with him as early as next week makes me cry tears of joy. Hamdolah, hamdolah, hamdolah!

Congratulation for your approval. My fiance and I are are also going through the same process and I'm really glad to see that things go smoothly for most couples in casablanca embassy. It would really be very nice from you if you enlighten me about these questions:

- Which birth certificate did you bring, the green or the white one (complete version)?

- Have you translated all the papers?

Thanks in advance
