Okay the time has come to mail this bad boy (K-1 visa petition) in to Texas. I have a few questions before I mail it off. Please don't point me to the guides as I have read them already. Just want some easy questions answered. :)

So far I have everything tabbed and it looks like such....

Cover letter that states

Contents include:

- Payment in the amount of $ 170.00.

- I-129F

- I-129F Supplement: Part B, Question 18, explanation of meeting in person

- G-325A and passport style photo (Petitioner) -2x2 in a baggie taped to a piece of paper-

- G-325A and passport style photo (Beneficiary)-2x2 in a baggie taped to a piece of paper-

- additional page-Form G325A, Q: Employment last five years, Daniel Benoit

- Birth certificate (Petitioner)

- Letter certifying intent to marry (Petitioner and Beneficiary)-1 for each of us-

- Proof of having met in person in the past two years and ongoing relationship (includes emails -mostly from him, pictures of us together (5), copies of his bus tickets here (2 of them), A copy of a western union receipt in my email of the money I sent to him for his first bus ticket, a receipt from the post office of a package I sent to him.)

My questions are these. I know I need to sign the I-129F and supplement, all 4 pages of my G-325A, put my name on the back of my passport photo, sign my letter of intent to marry. He needs to sign his G-325A (all 4 pages), and his letter of intent to marry. Does he need to sign the additional page about his employment? What else do I need to do? Sign the birth certificate, any of the proof of our relationship? And am I missing anything else that you can think of?

Highly recommend adding a copy of all pages of the USC's passport. It's not a requirement, but it will help prove the USC's identity.

Ditto on that :)

You will need one by the end of this year to travel to Canada if you and your sweetie ever want to visit there.

It's a great thing to have by the way, makes travelling and ID issues in this entire process a lot easier.

If you can, I'd apply immediately for one.

In answers to your question... if he can sign the extra employment page, it wouldn't hurt.

You do not have to sign the evidence of having met in person stuff... just make sure it's all attached. Other than that, it looks as if you have everything in order to send out.

As for submitting your I-129F, you do not need to have a copy of your passport. Your Birth Certificate is enough proof that you are a U.S. Citizen, because it is that same BC that you'll need to get a Passport!

Your package sounds good. Make sure you write the names, dates, and places on the back of all your photos as well.

Good luck!

The only things Daniel, as the non-USC has to sign are: the four pages of his G-325A, and his letter of intent to marry. They have to be original signatures.

He does not have to sign the supplement page detailing his employment, but ensure that it is labelled with the question number, the question itself, and his name. Also, you'll need four copies of it, one to go with each copy of the G-325a.

Make sure that everything (your proof of meeting evidence) is labelled.

Best wishes. :)

Thank you so much for reminding me to send in 4 copies of that supplement to his G-325A. I had totally forgotten! Next question is do I put one of those copies behind each page of the G-325A or should I just put the whole stack of them in the section I have tabbed off for that question page??

Hi there!

I'd just put one copy of each supplemental letter behind each complete copy of the G-335a.... since they are each a supplement to each copy you send in!

Good luck!
