MNL number received. Do I start processing?

Hello everyone!

I know this will sound very redundant of a question. But like anybody else, I want to know if I am on the right page before jumping to conclusions.

So here's the question:

last October 11, 2013, my fiance recieved a letter from the National Visa Center stating that they already sent the papers to the Manila Embassy. they also attached the Manila Case number with it. 7 days later I checked the Consular Electronic Application Center (CEAC) website and it said that the papers are "READY" but it also said that I have to have an appointment letter to start processing my documents.

It has been 12 days from the day the NVC sent the documents and I never heard from the manila embassy since then. I have been calling the Manila Embassy and they stressed that I need to have the letter of eligibility.

Should I wait for it or should I start processing without the E-mail or the physical letter?

Thank you so much for everyone's help!

For sure no reason to wait! It's Rock 'n' Roll time!!

Do NOT wait for any letter from the embassy (they rarely if ever arrive), everything is done online... follow the flashing arrow below.

Have your fiance email a copy of the NVC letter to you, then print two copies to use for the medical at St. Luke's

This is the fast part of the journey! good.gif

Have questions, don't be shy... good group here to help.

If you are referring to the DS-160, sure you can. Take your time, save it as you progress.

You can register online for St. Luke's to save time when you go there also, info on their website.

Hello Hank! Just a question or 2 to the expert - YOU, from me - a struggling novice. Our NAO2 date was August 27th. On Tuesday, October 22nd I was finally able to get thru to the NVC via the telephone and a man gave me our MNL # I am here in CEBU with honey Gina, and we will go to BPI on Tuesday October 29 to pay the visa application fee. My question is..... I did not notify USCIS or NVC that I am living here in Cebu for the next 6 months till April. Will they be sending any forms, or confirmation letters to my home address in Ohio which I listed on the 129F form?? Do they also send the same forms or letters to you via your email?? So far I have NOT received any emails from the NVC. Thanks for all your help Hank.

As for mail - The only mail the petitioner may get is the letter from NVC with the beneficiary info and MNL #, so don't worry about USCIS or NVC regarding you living in Cebu.

You won't get an email from NVC unless you emailed them requesting the MNL # (I do suggest you do that even now as some have never gotten the NVC letter)

The rest is all ROCK 'N' ROLL now that you have your MNL # !!

All the best in your journey ~

Hank

You spelled it wrong on the I-129F petition or USCIS spelled it wrong later?

They spelled it wrong... i noticed it when they asked for more evidence because that's the only letter they spelled the complete name....
