DS-160 confusion..

I will keep you updated. I'll be ready to send in packet 3 in about 2 weeks. I'm waiting on Dr. appointment to have 2 more vaccinations (Dr. Charles advised me that it would be cheaper to get them done back home and fax thru a certificate to say that had been done for him to send my medical results back to me)

I'm in East gippsland and I travelled to Melb for my medical with Dr. Charles (Bridge Street). He was very nice. I got there 1 hr early as you need to do some paperwork before you go in to see him). I also had 3 children for the medicals too. I think it went ok. had blood test done, xray for myself and routine checkup. He goes thru all the paperwork with you, but be prepared that you may be i there for while. So the 2hrs car parks may not be enough time. There are all day parking around the corner.

I'm hoping we can get an interview in early December, but we'll see how it goes. It's interesting that blue notebook with the templates at his clinic has that first sheet saying you don't need to have the medical results to book the interview, but the DS-1076 clearly states it wants everything sent in. I'm just hoping that waiting a week to send everything doesn't kill our chances at an interview before the holidays.

I'm hoping we can get an interview in early December, but we'll see how it goes. I know another Melbourne person who sent thier packet 3 back to the embassy last thursday and yesterday got an interview for Nov 5. Time between returning of packet 3 and getting packet 4 is very quick.

I did notice that also. I had 1 bar of reception on my phone LOL. You'll be fine with the medical He is very nice, just try get there a ittle earlier to fill in forms. Even writing down your passport number and case number on piece of paper will make it easy as you have to repeat alot of the same info on about 5-6 different forms. Just remember to breathe deeply. The needles dont hurt, they are quite good. The staff are wonderful too. Good Luck

I have 1 more vaccination to go for my son tomorrow. I had to order it in at the chemist ($146 later) I will be picking that up tomorrow and having it administered to my son. Then send back proof to Melb that I have done the vaccines done and Bridge street Medical will be able to send my medical reports to me. My Co-sponsor is finally ready to send paperwork to my US fiance (should arrive by end of this week), then my fiance will express post the documents to me so I can send back packet 3 as soon as they arrive. I should be able to send in packet 3 by end of next week.

We got the call that our medical results were ready exactly 1 week after - did the exam on a Wednesday and got the call next Wednesday.

Great news! Our packet 3 was delivered 12th Nov, still waiting for packet 4, but we also included a note that we are overseas until 24th. Hopefully will have interview the Tuesday after!

Silly me, I hadn't read the attached letter closely until today, and it says you have to reply via email that the beneficiary will attend the interview, otherwise they cancel the booking! They allow 5 business days, and Monday will be 6 for us, but I think will be okay as I presume they were closed last Thursday for Thanksgiving.

Our interview, provided I have not screwed up, is 10 Dec!

I've been disappointed lately. My fiance sent out the I-134 on 8th Nov and they still haven't arrived yet to me. I'll be stalking the mail box again this week hoping and waiting for it. I'm ready to send back packet 3 and I was hoping on having a Dec 10th interview also, but looks like I wont be getting that unless the paperwork comes tomorrow and I can express post it to Sydney tomorrow also.

Hope you are able to get the 10th Dec interview. You should be fine as long as you put URGENT in the subject email heading for reply to your packet 4. Good Luck. Keep me updated.

We had the interview today - even though my name was not on the invite list, I was allowed up as a USC. We were #5 so it took about 30-40 min to get called up. Wouldn't you know, they use a different form and process to get the NZ police certificate but failed to tell us ahead of time, grr! The lady was very apologetic and said it would only add a day or two.

The interview went well despite my fiancé being a bit nervous and getting fuzzy on some dates, haha. We got a 221g as he couldn't decide until that police cert comes in. We had ordered one the usual way, and had it, but it was not adequate. The good news is that we saw the magical red stamp, and the CO was very kind, but I must admit I walked out a bit down. After all the anticipation, it's no resolution just yet :-)

Yes finally I did get the paperwork about 2 hrs ago.. so relieved. Pkt 3 is already on it's way to Syd via express mail.

Sorry to hear about your delay. But remember, it's only a delay. It's not a denial. Congrats. Chin up, you'll get your visas very soon.
