Aos process, package sent

Hi everybody,

I'm new on this forum, im in the us since 3 months and im married since 20 days, i choose the way for adjustement of status, i dit my package with a lawyer and i sent it last week before my i94 expired, but i have no answer from uscis for the moment. I start to be very stressfull cause i've read a lot of story where people are denied and it sound very scary. I just wondering why so much people say aos is very risky ? it's not illegal so why it has to be more risky than a spouse or fiance visa ? so now i have a lot of questions in my head, i went here with no intention to be married, my mariage is real and everything is perfect but what if for any reason its denied, i just have to forgot my wife and my life with her ?

So as you can see this situation is very stressfull for me now and im wondering if its was a good way to do it instead of a spouse visa.

And you what are you doing to handle this stress ?

I think you have to show now that it wasn't your purpose to come to the US and to get married! I bet they want to have a lot of evidance but If you were making everything with a lawyer already than I think it could help you!

Did he told you about this case and what your options are? Did he said you can stay?

Thanks for your answer, yes he said everything was ok to apply aos. And how can i prove it was not in my intention to marry and stay before to came here, i just have a proof with my return ticket but nothing else.

One way in it being a risk is that if you're adjusting from the VWP then there is no right of appeal should your application be denied, meaning there is a good chance you would get deported afterwards.

Yes i'm ajusting from the vwp. That's why i worry now

I think if you have a good lawyer he can support you a lot with this! I don't think that the returning ticket would be enough!

Were any family members at the wedding from her site? I think they could write down some statements too that ya'll didn't planed this wedding and it was more surprising for them... I hope ya'll find a way and get answer from USCIS asap!

Yes there some family members from her side at the wedding, its just that i never think about having to prove my intention to not stay here when i came here.
