If i were you i wouldn't wait on the email. I would call their office and talk to one of the staff members. Tell them about your case and most likely they will ask you to sign a privacy form(they might send it to you by email and ask you to fax it back) and also ask you to fax your NOA2 and any other contact (via email) that you had with USCIS/NVC.

Hope you get some info about your case. Goodluck. :-)

Thank you!

Well I agree, I really don't want to wait for the email either, but when I called the NVC for the first time they told me that they can't help me and that I need to send that email... Is there anything in particular that I should ask for or request when I call again today?

Hello everybody,

I just found this forum and I am so happy to finally be able to talk to people in the same situation as my fiancé and I! smile.png

I am so worried and confused as to what is going on...

My fiancé and I received the letter with our NOA2 back on July 18th of 2013 and now it has over 3 months and we have not heard from the consulate her in Germany nor from the NVC. Obviously we are starting to get worried since it shouldn't take this long. After calling the USCIS it was confirmed that they had send out our approved petition on August 14th and it should be at the NVC by now...so we called the NVC to reinsure ourselves. Unfortunately the information we got did the opposite! The lady at the NVC told us that they had not received my case and that we needed to email the NVC-research, because it looks like our cause might have gone lost!

I emailed the NVC-research 2 days ago, but I am not really expecting to hear anything back until the end of the week.

I can't even tell you how worried I am right now!! Everything has gone quite smoothly and now this?! sad.png(

Has this happened to anybody else and can you give me some advice as to what we should do?

I would love some help and moral support, this hole journey is so nerve recking!

Greetings from Germany,

Stef

Im sorry for you, but probably your petition is not lost, the USCIS did not send it yet. You should keep calling NVC 2 times a week and email them, they will surely ask you to scan your NOA2 and send to NVC email and they will contact USCIS to find your petition, this was the answer i had after emailing. This has happened in CSC, that sucks! Keep calling and you will get it soon! Cheers.

Oh dear good!

I just spend an other 2 hours with my fiancé on Skype calling all the different places again, DoS, NVC and USCIS...

DoS was absulutely no help, the lady on the phone was very nice and caring but just keep telling us, that it can take up to 8 weeks and did not quite understand that it already has been well over 8 weeks since we got the NOA2 and our case was forwarded.

The NVC just kept telling us that they have not received our case and that there is nothing else they can do for us, other than having us send and email to NVC research (which we did a couple of days ago).

Finally at USCIS the lady on the phone offered us to speak to a number 2 officer, since she was not able to give us anymore information that what we already knew.... An other 30 minutes of more waiting and listening to the stupid music we finally got somebody on the phone who was could actually do something for us! :)) (all the other people were very nice, but just not able to provide us with the info we needed)

The officer told us that they indeed have sent our case to the NVC on August 18th and that it definitely should have arrived by now and we should have gotten our case number by now. She also offered us that she/the USCIS would send a letter to the NVC letting them know that we were approved. We should here back from the USCIS within the next 5 days... *keeping my fingers crossed*

I am just really hoping that this whole mystery will be solved soon and my case will magically reappear :D

I really thought the most nerve recking part, the waiting, was over, but this now is the most stressful thing I ever had to deal with!

Good luck to everybody else, that this won't happen to you!!!

I will keep you updated ;)

Thank you for your reply :)

Well, after calling the USCIS three times in the last couple of days we always were told that our case has been sent out 100% on August 14th. The "tier 2" even said that it is likely, that our case might have somehow gotten lost because it was definitely sent out on that day. :(

We already have scanned the NOA2 and send it to the NVC, but thank you for that suggestion. :)

I really hope this will be solved soon!

I suggest one more thing wink.png

Contact USCIS again, just dial the #, punch no further buttons after it starts ringing.

2 to 5 minutes later, a spanish speaker will come on. Wait for them to stop speaking, then say - Hey! My approved casefile is stuck with USCIS, I need an ISO immediately. Please transfer me.

Then, once you get an ISO, ask the ISO where the last scan location was (they use internal scanning there for casefile movement) and ask the ISO to get your casefile out of wherever it is, and send it on to NVC.

Be prepared to be on hold, to transfer to an ISO, upwards of 2 hours.

Go Get Em, and Good Luck !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

I guess that will be my project for tomorrow than! ;)

I can't even count anymore how many hours I have spend on hold in the last couple of days :D

Everybody so far told me that my file has definitely left the USCIS and was put on its way to the NVC...but that is kind of hard to believe after 3 months, unless it seriously got lost in the mail :'(
