I am a green card holder husband to an American citizen for over 3 years now. I have through a lot of abuse form my wife and daughter in law, my health is negatively affected with what I go through. My wife force me to do things l cannot do and thinning me to kick me out if I do not "I have no other place to live" thus I end up doing what I cannot do to avoid what she would threatening me with. My wife took my out of the lease and threatening me to kick me out constantly. That caused me to suffer from situational depression as I had to see a doctor "ER" for treatment. Please advise me of how get medical and housing assistance to stop my wife`s abuse and move on. I also need retable free legal service consultation please. I apologize for my broken English I hope you understand my question.

zima71 if you are being abused and don't have a place to go then go to any shelter for victims of domestic violence, even if you have a green card you are entitled to seek shelter there, most shelters have some housing programs after you stayed in their shelter for a while.

Apply for "charity" in the Hospital,if you can't afford to pay doctors.

Zima, are you in Buffalo, New York? If so I recommend Catholic Charities Immigration and Refugee Assistance. Agencies like this are great at connecting disenfranchised immigrants with services, they may be able to assist you depending on your circumstances.

I looked up their address and phone number:

What kind of abuse are we talking about? Is she hitting you? What is she making you do that you don't want to do? Do you mean step daughter not daugher in law?

Do you have a job? If not, why not try to go back to Egypt? Why do you want to stay here if you've have no where to live?
