We Passed!!

The interview went very smoothly. We arrived at 6:00 for our 7:30 appointment. We were processed at 7:30 and had fingerprints at 8:00. At 8:45 we were called to the Filipino Consulate for our interview. We were in front of him less than 5 min. During that time he asked for documents, BC, annulment/divorce, CENMAR, financial support I-130, 1040 with W2, letter of employment and NBI. He didn't ask for the passports and any additionally supporting documents which after sitting down we questioned each other why that wasn't asked. So we talked to one of the helpers and she had us return to submit the additional documents that would substantiate what was submitted on the I-130. He only asked three questions; how we met including name of web site, how many times I visited. No other questions.

Next was the U.S. consular and he recognized that I was the petitioner and asked me to take a seat and if he had any questions he would call me up. The interview took about 5 min with him with very view questions. Same questions that the Filipino consular asked plus what city and state I live in. He ask my fiancée's son if he played ANY sports with me and he told the consular that we played football and he was then asked if he could tackle me. He answered in the affirmative. Lol.

Then about noon we were at the last window and the clerk there explained that because of the NBI hit that the embassy would contact NBI Manila to verify that the case was actually dismissed which we knew because we had certified court papers substantiating the dismissal off the case. He started if there were no problems the visa would be issued.

Over all I was impressed with how smoothly things went.

Good luck to those who have upcoming interviews.

Our appointment was for 7:30 with 5 minutes with both Filipino and U.S. consular. We were walking out the door at 12 noon. The rear of the time spent waiting.
