Thank you! You're always so helpful and sweet (:

You're welcome. We're all working for the same goal, might as well pay it forward. :)

Have them scan it to my email? Then I can save it from there? And is it a photo for both or just the benny?

That is one of the many possibilities that one can have a digital file of a picture, yes. Only the beneficiary's photo is required in the DS-160.

This may be a stupid question so forgive me in advance, but how are you uploading a digital passport photo? I dont have a scanner.

Not sure how it works in Jamaica, but when my Russian fiancé goes to get a passport/visa picture taken, each time they default to giving him the file on his flash drive. Digital is their preferred method. I guess because its so common now to just upload the file instead of needing hard copies.

No, they pay for everything. Luckily I have an extra photo from him. I can take somewhere and get it scanned. I need to see if we have that option in the US. I never get that option to have it saved.

I found this discussion while researching DS-160. We've received the NVC mail with the exact same words. My question is: Do I, the beneficiary, fill up the DS-160 before or after we receive the letter from the embassy?

Hope to get some advice. Thanks!

You can fill out the DS-160 form as soon as you want. You don't need to wait your case number. Some people here- based on their experience - just use their receipt number from USCIS since they have waited like ages to get the case number from NVC. From what I read, they did not encounter any problem at all.

Thank you all for the great advice!

I am in the midst of completing the form.

What do you answer for this question?

Do you have documentation to establish that you have received vaccinations in accordance with U.S. law

I've found mixed answers here on VJ. Some people say to put YES and some say to put NO with the explanation: NOT AT THE MOMENT BUT WILL HAVE DOCUMENTATION AT THE TIME OF VISA INTERVIEW AFTER MY MEDICAL EXAMINATION IS CONDUCTED

I just need to confirm this before I submit so any help would be much appreciated! :-)
