On June 3rd CSC sent us an e-mail, letting us know they got our case and a few days after that we received a copy out our NOA1. On the same day I got an alien registration number assigned and since then out status has been stuck to initial review.

We're now nearing 5 months of wait and we'd like to know what's the best way to contact them. I know they have a phone number (which shows when ever I check my case) and an e-request option as well. Unfortunately I've read on here that people answering the phone aren't always informed about cases and don't always give exhaustive answers to your questions, so I'd like to know if any of you ever contacted them with the e-request option and had any success at all.

Any suggestions would be appreciated, we just want to move forward. It's so discouraging to see so many people who filed after us and got their NOA2 in a couple of months -or even less.

You can contact the National Customer Service Centre (1 (800) 375-5283) and ask to speak to a Tier 2 rep who will have more information about your case than the reps who take the call. They can also raise a service request for you if it's outside normal processing times. Best of luck, I'm sure the approval is coming soon.

Flying to Seattle on 6 May 2014!
