Requested expedite (split topic)

Hi everyone. I just called to USCIS and emailed our state senator about expedite of my wife. My wife is from Philippines, Cebu she and her family there is experiencing a lot of strong aftershocks due to the 7.2 magnitude earthquake last October 15. I cannot help to see her cry and devastated sometimes she's so paranoid. She is so traumatized with what happened. I hope and pray our expedite will get approve. Do you think ours get approve? USCIS told me that I should wait within 10 days for the result for they will review our request. Take care all!

Probably not since USCIS won't consider this as a good reason but you never know!!

Hello. Do DCF ( Direct Consular Filling) It's Fast. For ME, being traumatized is not a good reason to expedite your petition. But you can try maybe you are very lucky Good Luck.

Doesn't the petitioner need residency in the beneficiary's country to file for DCF?

Is she afraid for her entire family or just herself? Moving to another location may be the best option for now. Manila perhaps? But hey, who can predict earthquakes? typhoons? or any act of terrorism?

Chances of being approved is slim but there's no harm in trying. ;-)

Maybe, But my husband, the petitioner is not a resident here in the Philippines. We just tell them that he was here almost 6 months.Showed them his passport and they said that It's okay and that we can can file DCF. And will be picking up my visa tomorrow Jayr&Kirstine- wants fast so I was thinking maybe he can do DCF. hehe Just saying.

there is a criteria that may guide you to expedite your case..uscis will sent you an email requesting for proof/evidence...for example, if it is due to medical/health reasons you will fax proof from your doctors, hospital bulletin, etc..or deployment offer if the petitioner works in the military..and so on .. you can read the criteria as well..

My husband also requested for expedite, rep told him he will get a call back on the 16th. We waited til the 18th oct and still no callback from them so he called uscis again. He provided the expedite request # given to him during his first call. Rep looked it up in their system and told him that uscis already sent him a mail and to just wait first for the mail before calling again. We have nooooo clue what the mail is all about or if it's even true that he will be receiving something in the mail coz til now theres nothing. We'll wait til the end of this week..

How long does it usually take for mails to be delivered to hawaii from the mainland?

And do u guys have any idea what that mail is about? I know it has something to do with the expedite request but...what exactly? :/
