Greetings,

My wife and I just sent my mother-in-laws DS-230 and civil documents about 3 weeks. This morning I received a notice from NVC instructing us to complete the online DS-260. Has anyone else received this notice? Will the case be closed and interview scheduled after the DS-260 is completed online?

Thanks!

You should fill out the DS260 asap.

Your case will be closed/completed once NVC has reviewed the civil docs, aos and ds forms. Review will take 20-30 business days.

Thanks.... I'm just hoping the civil docs and police reports we sent in last month with the DS-230 don't get lost in the shuffle. We'll complete the DS-260 today and submit it. Hopefully, we'll get a response in the next few weeks.

  • 1 month later...

We submitted the DS-260 online and then received a request for the original petitioner marriage certificate and birth certificate. We provided a certified copies and translations of both documents from the Uzbekistan embassy but I guess they still wanted the original documents. In December we received another notification that we were missing a signature on the I-864A document that we submitted 6 months ago. I fedex'd the signed document to NVC and then sent NVC an email. A week later I received a 'Case Complete' email from NVC. About a week later we received an appointment letter for February 4th in Tashkent. Very happy at this point.... We started this process in August 2012.
