Don't you have to swim like 2 miles, dragging another swimmer?

Not two miles, but I remember the pre-reqs mostly:

Swim 10 laps in the pool, down and back without stopping, any swim stroke is acceptable

Tread water with a 10lbs rubber brick for one minute

Tread water for 4 hours without touching the lines or the wall

Written test

Save someone who takes you under water(break away technique)

And this was the military base course, I'd wager the civilian test is harder.

i've read a bunch of really dumb posts from you danno, but this takes the cake.

obviously, white kids already have white teachers, white couches (and coaches), white lifegaurds, white dolls, white doctors, white astronauts, white superheros, even a white jesus and a white santa claus.

minority children's self esteem (imagine if someone suggested) can be improved by seeing members of their own race or nationality in comparable roles and models.

re-read the definition of diversity in the dictionary. you would celebrate diversity if you weren't crippled with fear whenever someone suggests minorities might benefit socially and in turn economically from being allowed a fair playing field...(yes, white people still control the playing field, breathe danno breathe.)

Pardon the Obvious, but would't white lifeguards at mostly Hispanic and black pools increase diversity and life guards of color decrease it.
