Hi guys,

I just joined VJ and have learned a lot here. Just one quick question, I received my biometrics appt letter today in the mail, however, under SSN, it's blank. I'm currently an international student w/a part-time job on campus, so i do have an ssn and have put it on immigrations forms whenever required.

I wanna know if it is a mistake or it's the same for everyone out there who filed for AOS w/an SSN.

thank you in advance!

I was an international student on F-1 visa

USCIS does not keep track of your immigration file using the SSN. They use the A#. The SSA and the IRS keep track of your earnings and income and taxes owed using your SSN. They do not care about your A#. You are talking about two diffferent government agencies. Why do you think it is so difficult for some people to get their SSN when they immigrate to the US? If the information is not available in the SAVE database the SSA employee will tell you to contact USCIS.

Relax as this is completely normal.

45 min.... It is a lot further than my local ASC office. From what I heard, it's unlikely to get rejected if you go there around late afternoon on a Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday. Good luck if you wanna give it a try smile.png
